Our client’s customers use their software, hardware, IP, and services to design and verify advanced semiconductors, consumer electronics, networking and telecommunications equipment, and computer systems.

Business Challenges and Drivers
The compute environment used to run semiconductor design and simulation is on physical servers and storage in data centers. The requirement to maintain sufficient physical infrastructure available to support customer demand was costly. With the growth of the company, demand had become unpredictable, with times of both under and over-utilization of the service. The solution was to provide an elastic compute and storage solution to meet customer demands.
Benefits
A solution built on AWS utilizing the elastic capabilities for both compute and storage solutions. EDA software and customer simulation is stored in S3 and EBS and retrieved and unpacked to support the customer simulation requirements.
